I would just like to remind posters in URC of the moderated newsgroup
uk.rec.cycling.moderated.
I have seen here a number of discussions and arguments which have
quickly deteriorated into animosity.
This is particular the case if you are trying to suggest that wearing
cycle helmets, obeying the Highway Code, traveling at sensible speeds
and considering other road users are matters of concern.
These are all subjects which are on-topic and are most welcome in
URCM.
However, you must be very careful when posting there.
Some of the regulars are real little wallflowers so the moderators
have to allow them, but not you, a fair bit of leeway in what they
say.
So get over there - and have a sensible discussion - I am sure the
regulars will accept you with open arms.
You can either use the name you use here - or a totally different one
- it does not matter as long as you remain within the charter.
PS You do not have to be a cyclist - just have an interest in cycling
and all that goes with it.
See you there.
